Trip Policies & Cancellations
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
Due at time of reservation: $500 USD per person
Flexible deposit
If you cancel your trip up to 90 days before departure, you can transfer your deposit to another available trip
Flexible payment
Lock in your trip with a deposit and then pay the rest in installments, with no interest or fees. Balance due 90 days prior to tour departure.
Prices are in US dollars, and all payments must be made in US dollars. Prices may be subject to change prior to confirming a reservation. Once a trip is confirmed with a deposit paid, the price is guaranteed with the following exceptions: single rooms, added activities or meals, foreign currency fluctuations, unforeseen increases in government taxes, fees, and levies beyond my control.
WHAT YOUR TRIP INCLUDES
The land cost for a typical trip includes the following:
Expert leadership
Accommodations during your tour
Most meals
All activities as noted in the itinerary and the necessary equipment for such activities
Ground transportation and support vehicles
Luggage transport
Entrance fees and permits
Guide Fees
Each trip varies slightly, ask for a detailed itinerary that includes the specifics. Travel to and from tour meeting/departure points, pre- and post-tour accommodations and meals, optional activities, optional gratuities for your guide(s), and personal items are not included
Refund Policy

We have built-in added flexibility
All reservation deposits made at least 90 days before the departure date
come with a 7 day grace period*
within which you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit and total payments you have made toward your trip
For any reason / No questions asked
After 7 days and for all reservations made within 90 days of departure
Deposits are non-refundable
If you cancel your spot at least 90* days before departure
All payments count towards any trip… within 1 year from your original departure date
If we cancel the tour for lack of enrollment (see terms and conditions)
Your tour will be 100% refunded including your reservation deposit
TRIP INSURANCE IS REQUIRED
Cancellation less than 60 days from departure
If you cancel less than *60 days from departure
All deposits and payments are non-refundable or
*Transfer your Trip to Another Person
This is where your travel insurance comes in.
Please make sure you acquire an insurance plan that meets your needs.
Why?
At the *60-day window we have already purchased the bulk of our trip’s accommodation reservations and itinerary items and tour guides. The vast majority of third-party suppliers are not able to refund our payments, so we can not refund yours. The travel industry could not continue to exist without these regrettably strict cancellation policies. This is why we require you to have traveler’s insurance, and we recommend you get the most comprehensive coverage that you can.

TRANSFERS
You may transfer to another trip that is within the same calendar year without penalty by notifying us of your wish to transfer 90 days or more prior to departure. After that time our normal cancellation fees apply.
CANCELLED TRIPS
In the rare event that I must cancel a tour, all trip members will be notified a minimum of 60 days before the trip departs and will receive a full refund of payments made. Lacey Lowndes reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason, including insufficient tour enrollment. Lacey Lowndes is not responsible for expenses incurred by guests in preparing for a cancelled tour, including, but not limited to, nonrefundable airline tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc. Contact me before purchasing your airline tickets to check the status of your tour
TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE
Group Members are Required to purchase Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance. Travel insurance information is enclosed with your trip planning material.
RESERVATIONS
